Pull up to the bumper, baby! The 2020 drive-in has moved on from your basic 1980s teen movie. Instead, brace yourself for ginormous LED screens and roller-skating waiters laden with popcorn (be patient, I’m only just getting hang of my blades). You ready for the movie?
What: Hollywood blockbusters with classic drive-in nosh at Bournemouth Airport. Tickets are per car, with up to two people £35.64; up to four people £43.20; and up to seven people £48.60. Kids 4 and under go free. One car per booking. Book tickets.

What: A giant HD LED screen and state-of-the-art digital in-car speakers in the grounds of the 17th century Lulworth Castle. Hot dogs, burgers, pizza, popcorn and a selection of hampers with jelly beans, giant marshmallows, shortbread – even a cheese board. From £35 per car + two people, £5 for each extra occupant.

What: Not just drive-in movies at Bristol Airport but live stand up comedy, car karoke and a silent disco – plus a food delivery app that lets you order hot and cold treats (we’re talking Fridays aka TGI fridays and Ben & Jerrys) to your car via rollerskating waiters. Cool. Tickets £35 per car.
