Tiffin Clevedon

The Tiffin restaurants go travelling, delivering Sunday roasts to Clevedon, Nailsea and Portishead. Two types of Somerset beef (medium rare roast and 8-hour slow braised brisket), roast chicken crown, slow roast pork, nut roast and tempting array of puds. The Sunday Roast Boxes from the organic farm overlooking the Midford Valley, just south of Bath, come ready for you to pop in the oven for a quick blast. Each box contains beef, chicken and pork or a veggie/vegan option, fluffy Yorkshire, roasted veg, buttery Castle Farm greens, cheesy leek gratin and their legendary golden roast potatoes. Puds too. Chef Jaap helped Rick Stein set up his new Winchester restaurant but thankfully he’s back here, cooking up 12-hour roasted Jurassic coast sirloin of beef, local lamb, pork loin, corn-fed chicken, served with goose fat roast potatoes, cauli cheese – the works. The King’s Arms Charlton Horethorne

Located right on the Somerset/Dorset border, the pub’s three-course takeaway Sunday lunch includes marinaded olives and homemade focaccia, a choice of roast Somerset beef and Yorkshire puds or slow roasted belly of Wiltshire pork with apple sauce, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, roasted root veggies and gravy, plus a Bakewell tart with vanilla crème fraiche. The Dorset Tourism’s pub of the year 2020 serves up a selection of Sunday roasts, including – if you’re up to it – The Big Daddy, with Beef Sirlion, Pork Loin and a slice of chicken ballontine with all the Sunday Roast trimmings.
