NEW cafe, food and gift store in South Cadbury, Somerset
Opening in September, the brand new Teals Somerset – just off the A303 between North and South Cadbury, and a stone’s throw away from Cadbury Castle, King Arthur’s Camelot – will be serving up locally sourced grub in their cafe and two courtyards or to takeaway, selling locally sourced meat, veg, breads, deli and more as well as independent-label, sustainable gifts in the shop. Set alongside a 100-year old cider orchard and surrounded by stunning Somerset scenery, sounds like Teals will be providing sustenance for the soul as well as the body.

NEW interiors store in Somerton, Somerset
Home and lifestyle store Sitting Pretty Homeware has just landed in Somerton. Run by aunt and niece duo Maria and Sadie, it’s not on the high street so you won’t just come across them when you’re mooching around town, so head over to the Wessex Park estate on the edge of Somerton, or check ’em out online. We’re loving their range of recycled glass lamp bases. Free UK delivery and 15% off on your first order.

We’ve got window envy! From the people behind the boutique inns The Swan in Wedmore, The Grosvenor Arms in Shaftesbury and The White Hart in Somerton comes The King’s Arms, opening Thurs 17 September. With £5 million spent on the refurb – antique finds alongside upcycled lighting and contemporary design – and award-winning chef Tom Blake overseeing the menus, we’re expecting great stuff.
