Beautiful, wearable British and European women's clothes and accessories, with the emphasis on luxury fabrics and modern classics – in Somerset, Devon and online
You might live in your jeans (this is the countryside, innit?) but you still want to look pulled-together and stylish. Say hello to Allotment, where the ethos is ‘less is more’ and cleverly accessorising a relaxed, capsule wardrobe with the emphasis on luxury fabrics and modern classics.
Owner Kirsten has curated a seasonally changing collection of beautiful and easy-to-wear knitwear, tops and jeans, alongside footwear, jewellery, handbags, belts and accessories to go with.
You’ll find an eclectic range of brands from around the world, including Hartford, Allie+Grace, Mos Mosh, Ania Haie and Rails, with new designers coming in all the time.
What sets Allotment apart from other womenswear stores is the friendly, personal service – whether you’re looking for a total re-vamp, want to update your existing wardrobe and favourite outfits, or buy a single piece of jewellery or bottle of perfume for someone special (or yourself).
Visit Allotment in Somerset at Procter’s Farm, just outside Taunton, in a converted outbuilding on a working farm, with roaming chickens and an award-winning café. If you’re short on time, you can park next to the shop, dash in and out and leave the farm with your purchases and a take-away coffee in hand.
There’s a second shop in Topsham in Devon on the side of the river Exe estuary (very nice for a jaunt out).
Or browse and buy online from your sofa.
