Combers Inside-Out Hairdressing

Long one of Taunton's top hair salons, Combers has morphed into salon and hair academy with a philosophy aiming to help clients feel beautiful and confident inside and out.

Combers, surely Taunton’s largest and longest established hairdressers, has undergone the sort of transformation they usually offer their clients.

Their original salon, tucked away on one side of the 200-year-old Courtyard lined with independent businesses and just 500m from the busy High Street, has been completely re-imagined, with sandblasted walls and restored beams, to become Combers Inside-Out Hairdressing.

The large and airy two-storey salon is divided into four zones. On the ground floor is zone 1, shop, reception and waiting area with chic black leather chesterfields, as well as four cutting chairs and a massage basin. Zone 2 has two luxury aesthetic treatment rooms and a nail and brow bar overlooking the courtyard, and where you’ll find lash and brow specialists Browns & Co. Up on the first floor zones 3 and 4 are dedicated to hair cutting, styling and colouring.  Products? The natural Italian brand Davines.

Across the courtyard is their brand new Outside-In Hair Academy, where young stylists hone their skills and the rest of us can enjoy discounted haircuts and colours.

Inspired by Micheal Neill’s The Inside Out Revolution, which explains how to achieve a more peaceful and fluid way of living, Comber’s philosophy is not only to make their clients look amazing, it’s also about helping them change the way they feel about themselves; creating a feeling of positivity that they take with them and pass on.
