Love gin? You'll want to know about this new West Country gin, made in Dorset with absinthe botanical
Ros Nelmes is the Queen of G&T. She loves – and lives – gin. In fact, she’s so passionate and knowledgeable about the stuff, that she’s created her own.
Inspired by the flavours and botanicals of iconic French absinthe, Fordington Gin is made down in Dorchester in Dorset. It’s a crisp, light London Dry Gin, with delicate hints of aniseed and lemon balm. It also comes in lemon, violet and strawberry flavours. Nice.
It’s delish with a slosh of Fever Tree Indian or Mediterranean tonic and a wedge of lemon, lime or cucumber. But Ros has plenty of other suggestions. How about strawberries and black pepper? Or with a Brandy-soaked cherry and some Brandy cherry juice?
If you love gin as much as Ros does, you’ll want to know about her tea parties (delicate sarnies, cakes, petit fours and gin, obvs); her talks about the history of gin and how to make it; and her gin tastings. It’s educational, right? Fab and fun for a girls’ get together, a birthday or just because. Book us in right now.
You can buy Fordington Gin online or from selected shops around the West Country.
