Marston Park, near Frome

Idyllic lakeside glamping, where luxury bell tents come with artists' materials as well as double beds and woodburners, there's a spaceship in a glade, a hot tub with a glitter ball, a light installation on your doorstep and cool 'Happenings' all year around

Weekend Escapes

Set around a Victorian lake framed by ancient woodland, not far from super cool Frome, lies the magical world of Marston Park.  This ‘playground for creativity, with grown up food and drink’ aims to bring together like-minded people to share ideas and good times in a stunningly lovely, natural environment. Although it’s a grown up kind of place, kids and dogs are welcome, too.

From April to October, stay in beautiful Canvas Studios and Suites amidst the Field of Light, a light installation by internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro. Each bell tent has soft double beds, a wood-burning stove, artists’ materials, fluffy towels, bathrobes and Bramley toiletries *sigh*. Prices start at £120 a night, depending on the date. Book here.

Until late October 2022, enjoy an overnight stay in the iconic Futuro House, which looks like a 1950s spaceship, set in a secluded glade with lake views. This piece of design history, has a living space/kitchenette, two curtained-off sleeping cabins with double beds, outdoor seating, a fire pit and private shower and flushing loo. Prices range from £400-£1200 per night depending on the date. Book here.

Head to The Terrace for a drink from the converted horsebox bar and delicious nosh from the food truck; take a dip in the idyllic wild pool, relax in the wood-fired hot tub complete with glitter ball or treat yourself to a spa treatment.

All year around there are ‘Happenings’: classes, workshops and all sorts of festivals and cultural events, including their famous Pikes-themed weekenders. Some are scheduled, some are impromptu – you never know what to expect at Marston Park.

Come for a holiday or short break, buy tickets to a Happening or become a member and have access to Marston Park all year round.
