The Canterbury Tales, Ilminster Arts Centre, Ilminster, Fri 28 Feb

The GreenMatthews Players retell six of Chaucer’s iconic stories in a show that’s fast, furious, funny – and filthy. You can book a pre-show supper too.

Mark Beaumont – Around the World in 80 Days, Regent Centre, Christchurch, Sat 29 Feb

The TV presenter, broadcaster, record breaking round the world cyclist and ultra-endurance adventurer tells us how it’s done (18,000 miles in 78 days, 14 hours, 40 mins – that’s 240 miles a day – piece of cake).

Lego Walk, Highcliffe Castle, Highcliffe, Sat 29 Feb

Could you walk barefoot over thousands of Lego pieces (ouch!)? All in aid of the charity Relate.

Jimmy Carr: Terribly Funny, Bournemouth International Centre, Sat 29 Feb

King of the not very PC one-liners and one of the hardest working comics in the industry, apparently.

Killing Time: a talk by Simon King OBE, The Longhouse, Longleat, Sat 29 Feb

The wildlife cameraman and presenter is giving a talk about his career and experiences in the bush in aid of the Living with Wildlife Appeal (a collab between Tusk and Save a Cow) –  and super cool Settlers Stores have created a T-shirt to celebrate Tusk’s 30th anniversary of conservation work in Africa. Suitable for kids and adults.

The Frome Independent, all over Frome, Sun 1 March

First Sunday of the month, it must be the market that’s more than a market: designer-makers, vintage, food, drink, live music and more. The South-West’s biggest and best street market is back for 2020.
