The Bath Decorative Antiques Fair is back!
Style lovers, your attention please! One of the best vintage and antiques interiors fairs in the UK is coming to Bath this spring.
The famous Bath Decorative Antiques Fair, bringing together around 50 of the UK’s top dealers and a wide range of stuff and styles – furniture, decorative arts, garden ornaments and more; from rustic via country house and industrial to mid-century modern and beyond – is back in town.

Running at the Bath Pavilion from Thurs 31 March to Sun 3 April 2022, the Fair (which is a bit of an institution in the industry), mixes antiques and vintage with contemporary, creating that oh so cool 21st century mash up, for both inside the home and out in the garden. Entrance to the Fair is £5 but you can get a free ticket here.
Forget raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, here are a few of our favourite things at this year’s Fair…
INSIDE
The brass pineapple floor lamp designed by the pestigious Parisien designers Maison Bagues will add a touch of mid-century glam to your pad but could also make you some dosh: this is a collectible, investment piece.

From sleek to simple. This rustic antique bench made from solid elm could fit nicely along a hallway or at the end of a bed?

Fancy a pretzel anyone? A Dorothy Thorpe pretzel candlestick, that is, Made from lucite (a type of acrylic that combines the properties of both glass and plastic) and brass, the mid-century candelabra is a mini work of art.

A 19th century Swedish bride probably took this marriage cabinet, with pretty combed paintwork on the outside and traditional Scandi duck egg blue paint in the inside, to her new marital home in 1832 (we know, ’cause the date’s on the front). Awwwwwh!

Very handily, this folding mid-century table’s brass tray top is removable – perfect for handing round the drinks.

OUTSIDE
Déjeuner dans le jardin with these 19th century French metal table and chairs with that coveted original, untouched patina (also known as desirably rusty).

You can’t ride this white swan but you can fill the stone planter with pretty flowers to get it on (apologies for terrible T.Rex puns).

Cop a load of these.

Fashionably distressed.

Recreate the swinging 60s with these flamboyant rattan peacock chairs.
