You can walk into Wimborne. Pretty streets and courtyards are lined with characterful buildings, indie shops, high street faves, cafés, restaurants and pubs. The <a href="https://www.tivoliwimborne.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tivoli Theatre</a>, an annual folk festival, literary festival, beer festival – and every summer, their version of Glasto, the 4-day award-winning music festival <a href="https://weoutherefestival.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">We Out Here</a> at Wimborne St Giles – should keep you entertained.



It’s great for schools. Ofsted &#8216;Outstanding&#8217; primaries include Colehill First School, Hayeswood First, Allenbourn Middle School and St Catherine’s Catholic. Secondary Queen Elizabeth’s is ‘Good’. The countryside is amazing. With the 380 square acres of the Cranborne Chase National Landscape (aka Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) on the doorstep, this is a brilliant spot for walking, hiking, cycling, horse riding – and stargazing (the area’s an International Dark Sky Reserve). Nearby: National Trust Kingston Lacy, with its spectacular art collection and 8,500 acres of formal gardens and estate; Upton Country Park; Go Ape; and Poole Harbour for sailing and other watersports.



You&#8217;re well connected. Drive 30 mins to Bournemouth to get to London Paddington or Waterloo in just under 2 hrs, or to Poole for Waterloo in just over. Take a ferry to France from Poole. Fly all over Europe from Bournemouth Airport.
