Bistro Lotte, Frome

French bistro fare, boutique town house accommodation – and a bar – in Frome. Ooh la la!

Classic French bistro fare, wine – and cocktails – in an unpretentious neighbourhood restaurant in a former grocery store at the top of Catherine Hill in Frome.

All the classics are on the menu: French onion soup, croque monsieur, steak-frites,  lobster-frites, moules-frites (served with the white wine, garlic and parsley you’d expect or a creamed curry sauce or lemongrass, ginger, chillis and coriander you might not), galettes, boeuf bourguinion, bouillabaisse, escargots, chicken liver parfait (the list goes on) with a good selection of veggie/vegan dishes too. Tartes, crème brulee and other faves for dessert.

Sit inside and watch the chefs at work in the kitchen or outside at one of the pavement tables.

Supper clubs with live music throughout the year.

There are eight en suite boutique B&B rooms with super king beds up above the bistro, and four family rooms in the Frome Townhouse, further along the same street.
