Ask anyone who lives along the West Somerset/North Devon coast about Clathers, the area’s well-known independent store, and they may well come up with its nickname, ‘cave of wonders’. You never know quite what you will find. Cute little bamboo ankle socks, a wooden daisy flower necklace….magnetic scarves?  (That’s a new one on me.)

Clathers is a family-run business – owned by a mother and son duo – with shops in Minehead and Watchet in Somerset, and in Ilfracombe and Lynton a little further along the coast in Devon.

They stock a wide range of affordable women’s clothing – dresses, tops, knitwear and outerwear – footwear, bags, jewellery, gifts and cards, and they pride themselves on their personal service.
