Feltham’s Farm, near Templecombe
Award-winning world class cheese and farm stays with animals and a freshwater swimming pond on an organic farm in the beautiful Blackmore Vale.

Feltham’s Farm is 22 acres of organic land near the Somerset village of Templecombe in the beautiful Blackmore Vale – a stunningly lovely location – producing multi-award-winning cheeses, all made using organic milk sourced from the same local farm.
Founded by Marcus Fergusson and Penny Nagle in 2014, the range includes the famous Renegade Monk, a soft, blue, ale-washed rind cheese; Rebel Nun, the more blue and mellow sister to Renegade Monk; La Fresca Margarita, a mousse-like queso fresco style cheese; Gert Lush, a Somerset take on a Camembert; and Lucky Marcel, their homage to two classic French styles, St Felicien and St Marcellin.
To say their cheeses are good is an understatement. They’ve been sweeping the board at major national and international cheese awards over the past few years, winning Golds at the likes of the British Cheese Awards and the Global Cheese Awards. Most recently, Lucky Marcel was named Best English Cheese in this year’s Artisan Cheese Awards, and won a Super Gold at the World Cheese Awards in 2024. Every single cheese has been awarded at least 2 stars in the prestigious Great Taste Awards. Available at the best local shops and London farmer markets you can also buy online.
Certified Organic by The Soil Association, they keep rare breed Iron Age pigs which eat their waste whey, lambs and all kinds of poultry.
Come and stay all year round in their two farm stays: the three-bedroom Cottage and two-bedroom Cabin, with woodburner, underfloor heating, games, 100% Indian white cotton bed linen and all mod cons. Very handy for exploring the West Country, it’s just 15 mins to historic, pretty Sherborne in one direction, and the same time to super cool Bruton’s Michelin restaurants and international art gallery Hauser & Wirth in the other.
