Perched on top of Bournemouth’s West Cliff overlooking the sea, the Miami-inspired luxury The Nici hotel is just a few minutes’ walk down a zig-zag path to seven miles of award-winning golden sand beaches. No wonder The Times named it the Best Seaside Hotel 2023.

Formerly The Savoy, The Nici was launched in 2022 after a £27m revamp and it’s looking swell, with decor channelling Florida, Miami and Cuba, with original artworks, giant palms and more than a bit of glitz.

The Nici’s 80 bedrooms and suites – lots with sea views – are decked out in bright white with touches of leafy green and gold, luxe bathrooms with monsoon showers and gold cocktail trolleys.

There’s all day wining (and cocktailing) and dining in the South Beach Restaurant and Bar – and black and white checkerboard sun terrace – with a menu that includes steaks, fish and seafood.

With bikes and kayaks to borrow, a heated outdoor pool in the gardens, a mini cinema, kids’ playroom and 24-hour gym in the hotel, those golden beaches down below – and coming soon, a dedicated luxury spa – there’s plenty at The Nici to keep you blissfully busy.
