Set on a south-facing hillside near Shepton Mallet, the Wraxall Vineyard produces award-winning wines, has its own stunning, architect-designed wine bar, and three rustic luxe holiday cottages. We held the Muddy Awards party here earlier in the year and it really is a fantastic place, so we’re super excited to be giving away a one-night stay for four people, worth £354.

Vines were first planted here in 1974, making it one of oldest vineyards in Somerset. Now their wines – Sparkling White, Bacchus and Early Pinot Noir Rosé – are scooping up the wine gongs. In fact, their Bacchus Reserve was named the best bacchus in England & Wales at this year’s WineGB awards!

You can buy wine, take tours and guided tastings, and book yourself in for lunch at The View@Wraxall. There are events involving wine, pizza, music and more all year round. You can escape to your own rural bolthole in one of three Old Winery Cottages.

We’re giving away a one-night stay in Old Winery Cottage No 2, a luxurious upside-down pad in the heart of the vineyard.

Wine, dine and cosy up around the wood-burner in the spacious open plan living space on the first floor. Watch the sunset over the vines or get the firepit glowing and watch the stars from the large terrace.

Get a good night’s sleep – and an indulgent lie-in – in king size beds in two ensuite double bedrooms on the ground floor.

A welcome hamper, including a bottle of Early Pinot Noir Rosé, Barber’s Cheddar, and some local sourdough and butter, will be waiting for you. There’s a cheese and charcuterie sharing board and a glass of Somerset Sparkling for lunch up at The View.
