Very handily, they’ve a very high weight to warmth ratio which means you don’t need to pile on loads of layers. So if you’re skiiing (remember when we could do that?) you’d only need your Eskeez and your outer ski wear to keep warm – unless you’re heading to the Arctic. Tip: It’s always better to get a size too small rather than a size too big, as thermal base layers don’t take moisture away from the skin or retain heat if they’re loose fitting.
