<p>At 3.4km (2.1 miles), they say this the longest and wildest hedge maze in the UK. Planted in the shape of Noah’s Ark with seven animals inside (turn your head to the side to see what we mean), kids can follow an interactive trail, answer wildlife questions, climb a nest tower and slip down a slide at the end. Then there are all the big zoo animals to meet on the 100-acre site. Maze included with entry to the zoo, from day admission £24, adults/£20 kids, under 2s free and concessions. Mon to Sun, 10.30am – 5pm.</p>

<p>Not only a maize maze but a straw bale mountain with zip wire, barrel train rides, trampolines, sandpits, ball games and farm animals – oh, and their<strong> </strong>jam (and fruit, veg and meat)-packed farm shop if you want to stock up. Open every day until Sun 5 Sept, 9.30am – 5pm (last entry 4pm). £8 per person, family ticket (4 people) £30, under 3s and disabled free. </p>

<p>Lots to keep little ones busy as they navigate the maize maze, with an anagram to solve, activity sheet to complete, and a Bug Motel, Top Secret MI5 base, climbing frames and a lookout platform to discover along the way. Play area and cafe serving rather good grub. Open until 4 Sept, Mon to Sat 9.30am – 3.30pm, Sun 10am – 2.30pm. £7 aged 4+, £5 for 1 – 3 years.</p>

<p>Follow clues to conquer the five-acre maize maze – in the shape of a dinosaur – to win a medal. Have a go at Welly Wangling, Tyre Hop Scotch, meet farm animals, and pick sunflowers and cornflowers, and scoff their own ice cream while you&#8217;re there. Tues to Sun, 10am to 5pm, until the end of August, £5.50, under 3s go free. </p>

<p>Cary Grant was hotly pursued through a maize field by an evil crop-spraying biplane in cult flick <em>North By North West</em> but all you&#8217;ll have to worry about in this maze is who&#8217;ll be first to the top of the mound in the middle. Usually open until October, when the maize is razed to feed the animals. Open daily, 9.30-5pm. Included with entry to the Farm, day admission prices from £19 adults and children 3+, £10 under 3s. </p>
