The latest addition to S&amp;B Cinema group – joining those in Frome, Minehead and Burnham-on-Sea – The Plaza on South Street is a two-soon-to-be-three-screen cinema in an Art Deco building once used as a church.</p>

<p>It may have fabulous Art Deco architecture but they&#8217;ve installed state of the art projection in the four-screen cinema. The Plaza opened in 1933 with the newly released <em>King Kong </em>starring Fay Wray – they say the first outside London screening – and the cinema still screens the latest releases. </p>

<p>Small but perfectly formed, the Little Theatre Cinema in St Micheal&#8217;s Place screens art house and mainstream movies on two cosy screens, with balcony and sofas in the main auditorium.
