<p>Old Harry Rocks – and so will the rest of you – at this gorge new Mediterranean-inspired restaurant and bar at <a href="https://thenici.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Nici</a>, Bournemouth&#8217;s swish clifftop hotel. Overlooking the hotel&#8217;s outdoor pool on one side and the coastline over to the Old Harry Rocks chalk stacks and Purbeck Hills on the other, <a href="https://oldharryrocks.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Old Harry Rocks</a> looks banging. Come for the seafood, fish, salads, burgers, beef picanha (steak), cocktails, cool vibes and views (nab a table on the terrace) every day, and for DJs spinning the decks at weekends.  Open every day for lunch from 12noon; dinner from 6.30pm.</p>

<p>In the hands of <a href="https://thenewtinsomerset.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Newt in Somerset</a>, an Edwardian cheese-making factory at Castle Cary railway station becomes a beautifully restored restaurant and working creamery. <a href="https://thenewtinsomerset.com/TheCreamery" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Creamery</a>&#8216;s interiors celebrate railway&#8217;s Golden Age with leather booths inspired by traditional railway seating, a station clock and travel posters.  The food is pure Somerset, with sausages, burgers and steak from The Newt&#8217;s butchery, soft cheeses from their water buffalo and hand-crafted cyders. Open for breakfast 8am – 11.30am, Sat &amp; Sun; lunch 12noon – 3pm, Mon to Sun; dinner 5pm &#8211; 9pm, Weds to Sat.</p>

<p>Inspired by the dishes prepared by the owners&#8217; grandmothers, <a href="https://manjamanja.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Manja Manja</a> is a new Italian restaurant and wine bar on Bath&#8217;s George Street, from the team behind <a href="https://thecircusrestaurant.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Circus</a>, one of Bath&#8217;s best-loved restaurants. With an enticing menu of fish, meat and veggie dishes, pizza and pasta – there&#8217;s something for everyone – we can&#8217;t wait to try it.  The name? &#8216;Eat! Owned by sustainable oyster farm <a href="https://www.porlockbayoysters.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Porlock Bay Oysters</a> in Porlock Weir harbour, their restaurant serves up guess what raw with different dressings (Exmoor cider jelly &amp; apple; dashi, jalapeno and ginger) and cooked (grilled, gratin, deep fried). Other locally sourced shellfish – mussels, crab, lobster –&nbsp;and fish &amp; chips are also on the menu. Weds to  Sun 12pm to 4pm; Fri &amp; Sat 6pm to 8pm.</p>

<p>At long last, Bristol&#8217;s brilliant interactive science centre and 3D planetarium, <a href="https://www.wethecurious.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">We the Curious</a>, is re-opening 2 July –hurrah!  We&#8217;re looking forward to exploring the Project What If, Food Zone, Flight Gallery, Animate It, Curiosity Zone, Bubbles, Build-It and more. Over in Street, there&#8217;s a bit of a wait until the new <a href="https://alfredgilletttrust.org/a-new-museum-in-street/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Shoemakers Museum</a>, based around the Clarks heritage collection, opens next year.  </p>
