<p>The Ivy creeps South Westwards with the opening of <a href="https://ivycollection.com/restaurants/the-ivy-bournemouth-brasserie/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Ivy Bournemouth Brasserie</a> on Tues 12 November. Expect their trademark combo of modern British, brasserie classics, Sunday roasts, afternoon teas, cocktails and more all wrapped up in a swanky Ivy setting. Open from breakfast through to dinner, seven days a week.</p>

<p>We&#8217;re sad to say a fond farewell to Mark Hix&#8217;s <a href="https://theoysterandfishhouse.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Oyster &amp; Fish House</a> after 16 years as one of the leading restaurants in the area, with the last plates going over the pass on 7 Dec. The good news is that Mark&#8217;s mate and seafood restaurateur Mitch Tonks will be opening a new <a href="https://therockfish.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rockfish</a>, which will continue to serve fresh, locally caught fish and seafood, in the same location. Watch this space. </p>

<p>Fennel Tapas has taken up residency for a year at the Pop-Up Kitchen in Lyme Regis. Chef Anna Copplestone, who worked in fine dining in London for 15 years and previously ran the Monmouth Table, will be serving up Spanish and Middle Eastern-inspired dishes, with a focus on fish (well, you would wouldn&#8217;t you, when you&#8217;re right by the sea?). The Thurs £20 set menu sounds good. </p>

<p>Fabulous F.east, formerly at Rose Mills in Ilminster, then in a Dorset field, has now moved to a new home in the Bridport Arts Centre. Very handy if you&#8217;re popping in to see an exhibition but worth a visit for the food alone. F.east has been deliciously veggie and vegan in the past but rumour has it they&#8217;ll be expanding the menu. Open Weds to Sat, from 10am to around 3pm.</p>

<p>From the team behind Stoke Croft&#8217;s Bokman (recently rave reviewed by Jay Rayner), comes <a href="https://www.dongnae.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Dongnae</a>, a Korean &#8216;neighbourhood&#8217; restaurant in Redland. Chef-owners Kyu Jeong Jeon and Duncan Robertson will be serving up a menu inspired by Kyu&#8217;s childhood in Seoul, the couple&#8217;s time in Korea and trad Korean BBQ. While you can have a £24 lunch menu or the a la carte, we fancy the £55/head Hanjeonsik tasting menu. </p>
