<p>Fingers on buzzers, your <a href="https://bristololdvic.org.uk/whats-on/starter-for-ten" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Starter for Ten</a> at the Bristol Old Vic from Thu 29 Feb – Sat 30 March is an 80s coming-of-age musical about a student who dreams of appearing on <em>University Challenge</em> starring Mel Giedroyc. The WI get their kit off in <a href="https://www.theatreroyal.org.uk/events/calendar-girls-the-musical/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Calendar Girls: the Musical </a>at the Theatre Royal in Bath, Tues 5 –  Sat 9 March.  A group of blokes do the same in <a href="https://www.lighthousepoole.co.uk/event/the-full-monty/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Full Monty</a> at Lighthouse Poole, Mon 11 – Sat 16 March. Famous names David Morrissey and Mathew Horne star in a Pinter double bill <a href="https://www.theatreroyal.org.uk/events/the-lover-the-collection/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Lover &amp; The Collection</a> at the Ustinov Studio in Bath, Thurs 21 March – Sat 20 April. The Globelink News team are back! The iconic BAFTA and EMMY award-winning comedy <a href="https://www.theatreroyal.org.uk/events/drop-the-dead-donkey/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Drop the Dead Donkey</a> comes to the Theatre Royal Bath, Tues 26 – Sat 30 March, with most of the original cast and writers.</p>



<p>Happy Birthday Spot! Interactive family theatre tour <a href="https://www.sambradshawproductions.com/current-productions/spots-birthday-party/">Spot’s Birthday Party</a> (based on the much-loved Spot the Dog stories), comes to <a href="http://www.redgravetheatre.com">Bristo</a><a href="http://www.malthousetheatre.co.uk/">l Regrave</a> on 9 Mar Woof to that! The show, which promises songs and dance, and is being produced by the guys behind David Walliam’s Mr Stink, so it bodes well. His rootsy, rock and jazz-tinged gigs have been packed out. Britain’s most-successful dance group <a href="https://www.bic.co.uk/events/diversity-2023" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Diversity</a> are on at the Bournemouth International Centre with their show Supernova on Sat 2 March. The brilliant Matthew Bourne gets his hands on the Tim Burton film in <a href="https://www.atgtickets.com/shows/edward-scissorhands/bristol-hippodrome/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Edward Scissorhands</a>, Bristol Hippodrome, Tues 5 Mar – Sat 9 March. Mary Shelley’s <a href="https://fromememorialtheatre.org.uk/shows/mark-bruce-dance-frankenstein-a-double-bill/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Frankenstein</a> told through the medium of contemporary dance by the fabulous Mark Bruce Company in a double bill at the Frome Memorial Theatre, Fri 15 &amp; Sat 16 March.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.batharts.co.uk/curious-minds" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Curious Minds,</a> is a brand new Bath festival curated by the Bath Arts Collective, with over 30 book talks, live performances, film screenings, writing workshops and walking tours around guess where, from Thurs 7 &#8211; Thurs 28 March. Renowned Somerset-based photographer Matilda Temperley&#8217;s photos reflect on 10 years since the floods of 2013-14 in <a href="https://swheritage.org.uk/events/under-the-surface/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Under The Surface</a> at the Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury, Sat 2 March – Sun 19 May. Get a bird&#8217;s eye view of prehistoric Britain from the air in <a href="https://www.lighthousepoole.co.uk/event/traces-pre-historic-britain-from-the-air/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Traces</a>, an exhibition of David R Abram photos from his bestselling book the <em>Aerial Atlas of Ancient Britain</em> at the Lighthouse Poole, Tues 5 – Sat 30 March. The Hayward Gallery Touring’s major exhibition <a href="https://arnolfini.org.uk/whatson/actsofcreation/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Acts of Creation: On Art and Motherhood </a>plunges into the joys and heartaches, mess, myths and mishaps of motherhood – eek! – in 100 artworks, at the Arnolfini in Bristol, from Sat 9 March – Sun 26 May.</p>
