<p>An illuminated journey through time, from the evolution of the earth to the present day with the great pyramid of Egypt, dinosaurs, the Roman Colosseum and more depicted around the 30 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped grounds. Plus the UK’s biggest singing Christmas tree, a Santa train for little visitors and festive tours of the house –&nbsp;all lit up – alongside the famous safari drive-through.</p>

<p>Does what it says on the tin – and then some – with themed replica trees from around the world, a giant walk-through tree and other illuminations, in the Lower Gardens and beyond. The free trail takes in a Christmas market, alpine bar and ice rink, too. </p>

<p>Fifty acres and 300 years of garden design will be all lit up. Expect spotlights and coloured trees and pathways up to the Great Cascade, dynamic fountains in the Pear Pond and and spectacular display in front of Hestercombe House itself. Father Christmas will be in his grotto from 30 Nov, hot choc and homemade sausage rolls will be in the café, and some evenings you can have a festive meal in the restaurant. </p>
